Our Story

Collecting, maintaining, and sharing accurate provider data has long been a challenge across the healthcare industry.

 

  • Data varies by role, from clinicians to researchers, educators, and administrators.

  • Methods for collecting data are largely manual and duplicative.

  • Administrative delays are all too frequent.

  • Recipients require different data and forms.

 

Recognizing the opportunity, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School working with Alex Izaguirre, PhD, and Baylor College of Medicine, developed a comprehensive, flexible, and secure provider data management (PDM) platform that uses advanced technology to connect individuals and their data to organizations and their IT solutions in real time

 

In 2013, Aprenda Systems was incorporated to commercialize the software.

 

Today, connects healthcare professionals with a variety of healthcare organizations including: physician networks, hospitals, payers, and research organizations, to simplify processes and minimize the administrative burdens of PDM.

Our Solution

 

Signature is a provider-centric data management platform (PDM) that connects stakeholders across healthcare ecosystems. The platform enables providers, administrators, and organizations to easily collect, maintain, and manage key data needed for on-boarding, credentialing, health plan enrollment, billing and claims payment, website directories, analysis, and so much more.

"Our medical group practice was in dire need of a system to manage provider (MD, ARNP, RN) credentialing, CME, and licensing information.  Previously, they were using a folder structure on a drive to store scanned documents.  For example, any time medical staff services at a hospital or nursing home requested an updated malpractice certificate the office would print it out and fax it out.  Although this is somewhat simple use case, it set the basis for any solution.  Signature goes well beyond addressing that need.
